OOAK Dichroic Glass Mosaic Mermaid
The very latest offering from the heart and hands of sculptor Lorie O Follett, this signed, original, one of a kind, original art doll was lovingly and meticulously sculpted in polymer clay without the use of molds of any kind.

Measuring approximately 15 inches from bottom of base to tip of fingers, she has a sturdy wire armature all the way through her delicate fingers.

The really unique feature of this mermaid is the tail decoration which consists of over 100 small dichroic glass cabochons that were created to imbed in the turquoise to purple gradient polymer clay of the tail.
The reflective colors in the glass change and dance in the light and are impossible to capture on film.

The fluke is metallic gold and copper polymer clay highlighted with mica powders which is echoed in the curly auburn mohair.

3 tiny genuine Sea Stars (Starfish) and several Black Diamond AB Swarovski Crystals suggest a crown or tiara and nicely echo the purple to blue of the tail.

Her creamy white skin is a custom color blend of Kato Polyclay was used for strength and durability as well as true vivid coloring.

Her green eyes are blown glass and she is removable from her wood and sculpted black base for safe shipping.
